He serves on the Community Advisory Board for Helping Hands Home, holds a Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters of Health Administration from Texas State University.

Nilanjana Dasgupta, MD

Dr. Dasgupta is Chief Medical Officer at People’s. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and has over twenty years of practice experience, the last eleven with Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) where she served as Associate Medical Director for Family & Adult and where she established LSCC’s first Senior Clinic. Dr. Dasgupta earned a MBBS/MD from Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in India and completed medical residency at Wright State University.

Divya Diwan, MHA, MBA

Chief Operating Officer Divya Diwan has a Masters in Health Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Houston. Throughout her career, Divya has focused on improving processes for better patient care. She comes to People’s with a background in corporate, non-profit, and private practice operations.

Outside of work, Divya loves spending time with her family and two golden retrievers. She is a big LSU fan. Divya serves on the board of The Pregnancy and Postpartum Health Alliance of Texas, where she is passionate about educating people on perinatal and postpartum care.

Evan McLendon

Evan McLendon serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at People’s Community Clinic. Evan joined People’s in 2014 and is responsible for all Human Resources policies, programs, and services for the Clinic. Evan graduated from Texas State University with a Master’s degree in Healthcare Human Resources Management. He is a HRCI certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.

Kate Rector

Kate Rector serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at People’s Community Clinic. Kate is responsible for compliance with all regulatory guidance from governmental agencies, certifying entities and funders. Kate graduated in 2014 from The University of Texas Health Science Center with a Master’s degree in Public Health.

Joy Authur

Joy Authur is the Chief Development & Communications Officer for People’s Community Clinic. Prior to her career in the nonprofit industry, she was a sales and marketing executive in the private sector. Joy has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and of the Asian American Community Health Initiative; and was appointed to the City of Austin’s 2018 Charter Review Commission.

Joy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in History.

Monica Cavazos serves as Chief Clinical Services Officer at People’s Community Clinic. Monica joined People’s in 2017. She oversees the clinic’s nurses and medical assistants; laboratory; referrals and diagnostics; and immunization programs. Monica graduated from Boise State University and has been an RN for over 20 years.

Eric Mayse

Eric graduated from Southern Methodist University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration and from Harvard University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
