FACES AND OTHER OBJECTS
When born, a baby can see faces at arm’s length but are attracted to high contrast edges like hairline or jawline. The image to the right depicts a newborn’s sight: no color, blurry, clear edges like hair and jaw.

Baby's vision at 2-6 weeks
COLOR
Babies start to see limited color around this time. Their eyes might be attracted to brightness, darkness, or contrast. Babies can tell white from black.

Babies have developed depth perception- the ability to see objects close and far away. They can now see in 3D.
